When an application in Windows 7 crashes, Windows logs a lot of detailed information that is normally not visible to the user. For developers (like me) this informtion is very valuable, since it contains a lot of information about what the application was doing at the time it crashes. This information consists mostly of references to programming code and calls. It does not contain any *data*.

In order to get this information, you should open the Event Viewer. The Event Log is located in the System and Security -> Administrative Tools section of the Control Panel. You can get there using Start -> Control Panel -> System and Security -> Administrative Tools.


When you have started the Event Viewer application, you'll see a screen like below. Please open the Application log in the Windows folder and find the Application errors (they come in pairs).


Please open the item (double click) which says ".NET Framework" in the Source column. In the above picture it's the bottom one. A dialog will open like this:


Please press the Copy button in order to copy the text containing the error details (Call Stack). It will CTR-C all the data to your clipboard.
Next, Paste (Ctrl-V) the text into an e-mail and send it to me...
