Subject line pretty much sums it up. I went in to Syncjob and adjusted my settings to allow it to run when I'm not logged in and when I got through it it asked for my password. I entered it in and it cam to the first settings menu. I clicked on Ok on that menu and the program crashed. Now it crashes anytime I click on the settings button. I can run a manual sync with no issues but I can't get into the settings.

Can you send me the error message? (either here or via support@syncjob.com).

It may be caused by the password being not correct. As a result SyncJob won't be able to save the scheduled task properly and crash. If that is the case, it should need better error handling to prevent the crash.

To solve it you should modify or delete the scheduled task via the Windows Task Scheduler.

I hope this helps.

That is pretty much what I did. I was trying to set it up to sync even if I wasn't logged in. I thought I used the correct password but I guess not. I went into windows task scheduler and got rid of that option and it's been working fine, I just have to be logged in which is no big deal.

I am having the same problem. Windows error message: SyncJobCalendarUI has stopped working A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will clsoe the program and notify you if a solution is available.

I was trying to go into set up to change my password in groupwise. The password there does not match what is saved in SyncJob, and each time I open SyncJob I have to overwrite the GW password.

I was hoping to go into settings to update the password there, since it won't update when I re-enter it.

Windows 7 computer.

update 2: it really does not like the mismatch between what SyncJob has saved as my GW password, and the actual GW password. Crashes upon close as well:

Error while saving settings to disk.

Filename: C:\SyncJob\SyncJobCalendar\Config\GeneralSettings.sjg

Reason: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad passord
(Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007052E)

Please see sync.log for additional exception information.

So, folk, what do I need to do to update my GW password that is stored inside of SyncJob since I can't get into settings?

update 3: clunky as all get out. Add/Remove Programs to Remove SyncJob then go into C:/SyncJob/SyncJob Calender then delete all of the stored content in there (since remove does not remove all of the content) then re-install SyncJob Calendar. Seems that there should be a better way.... aka that Settings and Close not have to check the passwords before it lets you into settings or closes.

update 4: not my day folks. SyncJob is now correctly saving my passwords, now I am getting a crash -after- I get into Settings when I try to select "enabling Scheduled Synchronization" Humph: I can't even hit the cancel button on the settings screen without a crash.

This is due to a wrong password on the scheduled task in Windows. I think your best bet would be to open the SyncJob scheduled task in the Task Scheduler of Windows and correct the password of the account that is used for running the Task.

Please let me know if you are still experiencing problems.

I had same problem on Window's 7 machine. I noticed that if I used SyncJob Calendar UI to create the task, it would crash when I tried to hit settings a second time. The fix is to go to Task Scheduler and modify the task there. Or, go to Task Scheduler, delete the task, and then use SyncJob Calender UI to create a new task.
